Veeder-Root Models:
TLS-300
- Does not support Line Leak
- Only has 1 functioning Serial port (labeled Direct)
- Has been known to have that serial port blown since this model has not been generally sold for 10 years
- Has 1 expansion slot available (left-hand side of console, connections out the bottom of console)
- Can accept a serial card or fax/modem
- Needs a special mounting bracket on the serial card (different than TLS-350)
- Serial Cable Needed is D25M to D25M Straight
DIP Switch 2 MUST be on to get serial communications to work.
TLS-350
- Has card cage that will accept expansion 4 cards
- We need either a serial card or a network adapter
- Network adapter requires an ECPU2 motherboard. Came out about 8-10 years ago, but most do not have them.
- Serial Cable Needed is D25M to D25M Straight
- DIP Switch 1 - Toggle to get to System Setup (Simplicity?)
- USB to RJ45 and a RJ45 to DB25 Adapter (SC 1x10)
TLS-450
- Most of these have been replaced since they had issues
- Essentially a touch screen version of the TLS-350, but not reliable
- Comes with 2 serial ports
- Serial Cable needed is D25M to D9M Straight
- USB to DB9 and a M2F DB9 Mini Null Modem Adapter (SC 1x10)
TLS-450 Plus
- latest version
- Much more reliable than TLS-450
- Generally comes with network adapter
- Can add a serial card or can have 2 already
- Serial Cable needed is D25M to D9M Straight
- USB to DB9 and a M2F DB9 Mini Null Modem Adapter (SC 1x10)
